一、自備電源。某些用電單位沒有網(wǎng)電供應(yīng)，如遠離大陸的海島，偏遠的牧區(qū)、農(nóng)村，荒漠高原的軍營、工作站、雷達站等，就需要配置自備電源。所謂自備電源，就是自發(fā)自用的電源，在發(fā)電功率不太大的情況下，發(fā)電機組往往成為自備電源的。

1、 Self provided power supply. 二、備用電源。備用電源也稱應(yīng)急電源，主要用途是某些用電單位雖然已有比較穩(wěn)妥可靠的網(wǎng)電供應(yīng)，但為了防止意外情況，如出現(xiàn)電路故障或發(fā)生臨時停電之類，仍配置自備電源作應(yīng)急發(fā)電使用?？梢姡瑐溆秒娫磳嶋H上也是自備電源的一種，只不過它不被作為主電源使用，而僅僅在緊急的情況下作為一種救濟手段使用。

2、 Standby power supply.
