但假如發(fā)動機(jī)的溫度太低，冷卻過度，也會產(chǎn)生反作用，使發(fā)動機(jī)蓋的熱量損失加大，不利于可燃混合氣體的構(gòu)成和熄滅，并招致發(fā)動機(jī)油粘度變大，摩擦損失增加，形成發(fā)動機(jī)有效功率降低。

在實(shí)踐運(yùn)用過程中，普通應(yīng)用冷卻液的小循環(huán)和大循環(huán)處理沼氣發(fā)動機(jī)的冷卻光滑問題， 使發(fā)動機(jī)得到適度的冷卻，從而使其堅持在適合的溫度范圍內(nèi)工作。通常關(guān)于沼氣發(fā)動機(jī)的水冷卻系統(tǒng)，當(dāng)缸蓋冷卻水套中的冷卻液溫度到達(dá)60°左右時，大循環(huán)啟動，可確保沼氣發(fā)動機(jī)正常工作。

在實(shí)踐運(yùn)用中用戶常常疏忽發(fā)動機(jī)冷卻液的運(yùn)用，而簡單的用水作為發(fā)電機(jī)組的冷卻介質(zhì)。隨著發(fā)電機(jī)組的運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)冷卻水損耗嚴(yán)重，需求頻繁補(bǔ)加水分，且運(yùn)用一段時間后就會結(jié)垢，招致發(fā)電機(jī)組冷卻效果降落，發(fā)動機(jī)運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)溫度升高，影響發(fā)電機(jī)組的正常發(fā)電。
